Proudly born and raised in Maryland, Dr. Daniel Zemel earned a Bachelor’s Degree with honors in Physiology and Neurobiology at the University of Maryland College Park. Dr. Zemel enriched his knowledge in a General Practice Residency at Columbia University’s Harlem Hospital Center in New York City. During his residency, Dr. Zemel received one-on-one mentorship and thorough training from a wide range of dental specialists. In addition, Dr. Zemel served as a healthcare professional in the emergency department, taking care of patients throughout the COVID-19 epidemic in Manhattan.
Dr. Zemel is an active member of the Maryland State Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Zemel is a published author as featured in the Journal of General Dentistry, and Dr. Zemel was a research intern at the National Institutes of Health within the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research.
When he is not in the office perfecting a patient’s smile, Dr. Zemel enjoys kayaking, hiking in Catoctin National Park, and exploring Maryland.
